Spring in Suzuka, Japan, brings the breathtaking beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom, accompanied by the electrifying thrill of Formula 1 racing. This new beer, Suzuka, draws inspiration from traditional Japanese rice lagers, the graceful art of Sumi-e, and one of our most cherished early-year races. Beginning with Pilsner malt and flaked rice, which blend to create a refreshing and crisp base. Sorachi Ace and Motueka hops infuse herbal and light citrus notes, adding a touch of complexity and aroma. Pair this beer with a spread of sashimi and a lively game of Janken (rock, paper, scissors).

Pours a bright golden color with a clear transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is citrus peel (light) with herbal and spicy hops. Thin wafer and biscuity malts sit underneath, forming the bulk of the dry nose. Crispy smell. Flavor profile orange peel, lemon zest, spicy and herbal hops. Delicate citrus layers over biscuity & wafery malts, leaning more into the latter. Dry finish. Mouth feel is medium-thin in consistency. Texture is crispy with a light sharpness, something similar to karaage. Overall, nice little number, offering up delicate hops with crispy malt underneath.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.
