I've probably drank half a dozen Italian Pilsners and I'm liking this 2022 trend; in part because I'm a malt-head and the trend uses fewer hops than the traditional pils. But that is no reason, certainly now, to make a new style. (But UnTappd has done that for Italians.)

I've reviewed the restaurant that BK brewed this pils for and Segnatore has an interesting menu. I picking up a pattern of Pilot Project's family of brewers working with local restaurants which is totally cool; particularly since the other is French and neither kitchen traditionally has thought beer good enough for its food. (But it is.) And for proving that point, I give Il Serpente and BK lots of hugs.

As for the beer, it has average Looks. Smells are more herbs than hops, which I also like to Taste. Kind of like sprinkling herbs on your crackers. In my mouth, more "meh" than lively; but refreshing. My mistake to drink this with popcorn; but I will get more Il Serpente and may even do take-out at Segnatore. Saluti !!

Aroma is mild fruit, malts and very zesty/spicy hops. The flavor is fruit, malts/slight grain sweetness and a dry/very zesty/spicy hop/black pepper finish.

16 oz can into a pilsener glass. Clear light golden color with a small fizzy white head that quickly faded to a thin film. Bready malt and funky noble hop aroma. Clean malt flavor. Medium-light body, very crisp and refreshing. I'll keep drinking this.

Crisp Italian style pilsner. Could use more bite, but overall good offering. Always happy to see an italian style pilsner on the shelves.
