Pours a clear, light amber coloration with a small, foamy head and visible carbonation.Smells of bready, slightly caramelly malt and grassy, herbal hops. Taste is a great balance of bready, grainy, slightly caramelly malt and grassy, herbal, slightly spicy hops, with just a hint of black pepper, honey and dark fruit also coming through. Finishes with a light bitterness and some bready malt and herbal hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This "Christmas Beer" is essentially a Märzen, but a pretty nice one with a good balance of sweet malts and bitter, herbal hops, preventing it from becoming quite too sweet even though there are some rather light hints of honey and dark fruit. It's a bit lighter than your typical Märzen, but a bit more complex as well and also rather hoppy, despite it's firm malt base, with the focus being on herbal and spicy hops. Overall, a very enjoyable lager that's rich in flavor, yet easy-drinking, and seems to fit the season nicely.

Pours a moderate light head that dissipates fairly quickly. It is an amber bier overall that kept up a steady stream of bubbles as long as I was enjoyed it. Enjoyable taste and well worth trying!
2022 update: Head lasted longer. Yum!
