Decent Helles, but the malt base is too sweet, which drags it down a bit.

Pours a clear, bright golden coloration with a medium, frothy head. Smells of doughy, slightly grainy malt and grassy, herbal, slightly fruity hops, with just a hint of white grape coming through. Taste is an excellent balance of doughy, slightly grainy malt and grassy, herbal, spicy and fruity hops, with slight, notes of white grape and some of white pepper also coming through. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some grainy malt, herbal hops and white pepper lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium/strong carbonation.

This makes for a truly excellent Helles that's quite easy-drinking and refreshing, yet has a lot of character to it due to the slightly grainy malts and rather herbal and spicy hops, with a distinct white pepper note and hints of white grape adding a certain zest to this. I wonder if this was brewed with Hallertau Blanc, which seems likely to me. Perhaps just a tad light in body, but that just adds to that great drinkability here, as well as the slighter higher carbonation.
