Brauerei Johannes Hübner "Lagerbier Bernstein"
2,20€ / ,5L glass on tap at the brewery on 17 September 2017
Notes: Crystal clear deep copper-almost brown beneath a full head of dense off-white foam. Very good head retention but only average lacing. Caramel malts in the aroma hint at darker chharacter but it never really goes there. Clean and fresh. The flavor delivers both golden and dark caramel, and a slight nuttiness. The hops add some very soft grassy and herbal notes. A moderate to low bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry and short-lingering. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and smooth with a fine-bubbled, moderate carbonation. Quite nice, and highly quaffable.

From the tap, it pours a clear amber with a just off-white head. Slightly bitter in front with a solid malt base. In the nose, it is pleasant and fresh.
