Traditional Bavarian Hefe-Weizen. Sweet malt and bready wheat with notes of banana and clove from a unique Bavarian yeast. Uncommonly refreshing.

Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden orange with a fizzy, one finger white head that dissipates to sparse patches with slight lacing. Aroma of wheat malt, banana, a touch of lemon and clove. Flavor follows with wheat, banana, light lemon and mild clove. Clove and wheat finish with a touch of tart lemon. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and sharp carbonation. The banana from the yeast was evident immediately on the pour and nicely present throughout the taste. The flavor profile is excellent traditional hefeweizen with nice balance that persists throught the finish. It's somewhat fizzy on the tongue which also presented itself on the nearly headless pour. Otherwise, one of the better domestic takes on the style. This would be my non-German goto hefe if it was in my area.
