Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange-yellow color with a pink tint and a puffy head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is super heavy of a guava aroma mixed with some other smells of grain and a bit of orange citrus. Along with these smells comes notes of pineapple and some mango and a little bit of grapefruit and some floral hop. Overall, a bit over the top on guava, but OK.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and malty flavor mixed with a strong guava and grapefruit hop flavor. At the same time there are flavors of some herb and floral hops, both of which get stronger. Other flavors of grain and sweeter orange citrus develop as the taste advances. With a bit of hay and some pine coming at the end, one is left with a moderately hoppy and fruited taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thicker and chewier side with a lower carbonation level. Good for the style with it supporting all the flavors.
Overall – A rather decent hazy. Nothing too exceptional, but fun to try.

pours a super hazy grapefruit juice looking body with a rocky, frothy cream-colored head that has moderately high retention, capping at two fingers height and retaining that height in a rocky halo that cascades to sparse bubbled cap before dissipating to a thin halo with occasional bubbles on the cap and leaving a heavy amount of lacing behind in the process.
aroma is sweet, funky, and floral; slight evergreen hop, funky and bright citrus ala grapefruit and guava
taste follows that up with a slightly sweet, fairly funky grapefruit and guava juiced up body and a piney hop earthy bitterness in the end
mouthfeel is mid-level carbonation and medium bodied, running slightly grainy, a little pulpy feeling with a light crisp up front and a dry, somewhat crisp finish that leaves a guava+pine hop=grapefruit peel'n'all aftertaste
overall:
so, the combination of guava and pine hop makes for some killer grapefruit juice IPA, apparently. as a fan of said fruit, I was all in, but it may not be for everyone. that said, I cannot overstate how much I dig this one. on a personal level, this is a great jam of invention and I'll definitely be investing in the full pack soon. if you like grapefruit IPA experiences, don't sleep on this one.
