Haka is a SMaSH (single malt, single hop) beer, highlighting the bright, juicy lemon-lime flavors of the New Zealand Rakau hop onto a base of smooth, bready German pilsner malt. The result is a bright, and easily drinkable summer lager, perfect for an aspirational beach weekend (actual beach not necessary).
This beer is brewed in conjunction with, and supporting StacheStrong, a charity providing raising funds for Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) research. GBM is a devastating brain cancer that typically results in death in the first 15 months after diagnosis. While there is a long way to go in defeating brain cancer, it is their daily focus, along with providing any and all improvement in patients' quality of life.

Crowler canned 8-9-21.
Bright saturated gold with rising carb trails, two fingers of lasting fluffy foam that leaves some irregular lacing behind.
Aroma is mellow with some earthy, fruity hop notes, and mild crackery pilsner malt.
Malty but with a distinctly hoppy edge. I’d almost call this an IPL, but the bitterness is well balanced. It seemed more tropical when fresh on tap, but it still has some unique hop characteristics. Lemon and lime zest, dandelion greens linger in the dry aftertaste. Light and easy drinking, very smooth and finely textured. One of the better beers on my first visit to the brewery.
