On tap at the Rock Hill Brewery location, served in a pint glass
the beer pours a deep cola color with a robust tan/khaki head that recedes quickly leaving behind little to no lacing
The aroma is coffee, roasted malts, and a hint of dark chocolate, and maybe just the slightest hit of hops. Fairly understated but pleasant.
The flavor is very similar to the aroma, comprised mainly of coffee, roasted malts, and bittersweet chocolate. No perceptible hops in the flavor. Medium/light bodied with a dry finish.
Overall, this is a very nice example of the style. Clean and dry with great coffee and roasty flavors.
