My first from Brasseurs Unis, so I went on their website and surmise (no English translation) that they are contract brewers (UnTapped deemed so also.) Brewing in the south of France in the middle of the border with Spain, I'd think this is a good place to contract brew; to help the nano-revolution grow into a micro-market... particularly in wine growing country.
Unis seems to have several of its own brews in the Petrolette line, then three other lines that are less developed. Then they seem to have five nanos that they contract with to brew their recipes and package them. All of which helps this wine-culture start to think "beer." And for all that, I give Unis good Overall Hugs in the anticipation that they will grow and learn.
As Petrolette Ambree', I'm good with the American Red Ale styling. It actually has far fewer bitter hops than the style, but that's how I like it. Ambree' opens with a huge head (was that my pour?) Smells are average, but Tastes are balanced. Light-mouthed to me. I would not repeat, but I would try Unis' Belgian offerings.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
