A bit disappointed with this offering. Left it in the cellar for approximately a year thinking that some aging at around 14% abv would improve the taste, but it did not. Poured into goblet. Little to no carbonation. Very dark and viscous. Faint smell of vanilla, but underwhelming. Taste and mouthfeel is sticky sweet with little to no distinguishable flavors. Mediocre imperial stout. Would not seek out again.

2022 vintage (released in 5/2022); consumed on 4/12/2023
Pours a slick, nearly viscous jet-black body capped with a finger and a half of dark mocha foam; solid head retention leaves a near-blank surface, a slight, creamy collar, and minimal-no lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aroma flows with vanilla cake batter upfront, coating a sharp underlying roast as caramel fudge pronounces into tinges of coffee and bourbon-soaked almonds; bourbon oak develops on the back end of the bouquet, leaving dark cacao and hints of lingering milk chocolate to accent.
Taste offers a roasty char with subtle dark cocoa and dusty oak accenting, reducing to watery caramel over the mid-palate as floral vanilla fades through spent coffee grounds on the back end of the profile.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-light body and an airy fluff of moderate-high carbonation; an initial roast cedes to distant bitterness as a silky, creamy texturing flows into the back end as a soft acridity eases on the finish.
A strong nose deconstructs to passive malt detailing and faded barrel support, with only distant accents propelling an otherwise pointed, bittersweet roast to general passability and little more.
