Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Pale amber, with a nice orange glow. Doesn't quite clear, but has some slight haze. There is some degree of clean and clearness to it, and some nice lively carbonation. Head formation is a bit low for an IPA, managing just only two fingers from a solid pour out of the can. What is presented is light bubbled, soapy retention at least, and a classic bright white head.
Fruit forward in traditional style on the nose. Hints of grapefruit, some orange citrus zest as well with some matching sweetness. Hints a little crispy caramel malt sensation as well, with a tang drink like note as well too. Fairly solid.
Palate goes for some relatively uninspiring flavors unfortunately. Big mid palate of hop bitterness that is neither fruity, piney, or just anything distinguishable. Very green sensing and burning on the finish. Solid simple body and backbone, but not even some malt presence makes some contrast to a very astringent palate.
There's hints on the nose that this seems like a West coast IPA, but it just comes off as a bitter green one instead unfortunately.
