This Double IPA is hopped with Mosaic in the whirlpool and then given a healthy dry hop addition of Zappa., Strata and Mosaic. You can expect flavors of tropical fruit and berries with aromas of dank tropical fruit.

Was lucky enough to get this one and a bunch of other good stuff from Sam. Back of the can read “This Double IPA is hopped with Mosaic in the whirlpool and then given a healthy dry hop addition of Zappa., Strata and Mosaic. You can expect flavors of tropical fruit and berries with aromas of dank tropical fruit.” This would be my third time having Zappa hops (I think), although I don’t really remember the other two (both North Park beers). Zappa’s characteristics are passion fruit, mint, spice, tropical fruits, and fruity pebbles.
Poured a medium golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Perfect uneven spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Mosaic, rose blossom, floral, cotton candy, mango, passion fruit, red grapefruit, Strata, mixed berry and plum. Even better out of the can with some Skittles added in. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Mosaic, rose blossom, cotton candy, floral, Strata, mango, passion fruit, Skittles, red grapefruit, mixed berry, plum, earthy malt, hints of red licorice and lingering spice. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This one grew on me each sip. Just a real solid beer and I think I underrated it slightly. (Overall - 4.25)

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, toffee and sweet caramel. Great tropical fruit taste with piney bitterness and a toasted caramel backbone.

Pours a golden dark wheat color with a long lasting white head and lacing. Smell is juicy tropical fruit. Taste is a 3 hop DIPA its fruity with citrus and papaya with notes of melon and stone fruit, very nice . A soft juicy mouth feel more sweet than dry ABV well hidden,Elm Creek making some of the best hazy's in TC.
