Amber Lager brewed w/ Sugar Creek Malt using a double decoction mash for toasty malty goodness, with a dry finish.
Bowski Hamlin is considered to be one of the most beloved inhabitants on the island, full of joy, courage, and poise. Hamlin is one of the only inhabitants to see most of the territories. They are often found enjoying a light & frothy, delicately balanced amber lager amongst old and new friends, and has a knack for knife skills and cooking delicious snacks to feast on.

Bright amber orange, a toasty tone with a finger of foam and ample lacing. Toasty malt aroma, pretty straightforward, tea and toasted bread crusts. Taste is similar, bread crusts and unsalted Triscuit crackers, mild grassy bitterness. Lighter side of medium bodied, supple feel, easygoing carb. Overall this is decent, not sure it stacks up better than any of the other locals though.

Pours a lovely, clear amber color. Thick, three finger head forms on top of the beer, then slowly but steadily dissipates until no residual head remains. Aroma has notes of bready malts, slightly toasted, with some light soapy hops. I can't figure out what hops they used in this, but they're giving off this grassy soapy note.
Taste has notes of toasted malts, light white bread, a touch of honey with some mild pronounced bitterness on the back end. The hops are not soapy, but rather have a nice dried, grassy bitterness. Feel is light, crisp, pretty dry especially on the finish. Bright carbonation.
Overall this is really nice. The decoction mash has provided a lovely depth to the malts. My only complaint is that soapy character from the hops in the aroma. Otherwise this is a very favorable first impression to Ørkenoy.

Bowski Hamlin is a bit of a category-stomper.
While it Looks the pretty amber part of a Vienna, which is where I come down. It has the low-profile mostly malt Smells and medium-to-light body also often found in the Vienna lager. Mostly rounded and semi-sweet. But then at the very end, I get that subtle tang that often gets piled into the Czech kettles to distinguish them from the Bavarian/Vienna tradition.
A successful lager that improves lunch. And it was already pretty good with Uncle George's spanakopita (Greek spinach & cheese pie.) But Bowski cut through the fats and knew when to get mute and, thereby, brought out the best of the spinach. I am a big fan of Orkenoy; having discovered them a week ago, so that says a lot about them. They have a very interesting kitchen that their brewer seems to brew subtly for. My fifth from them, I'm glad their brews work for an inferior kitchen like mine, too.
