Dark ruby-black color, has a small tightly bubbled off white-brown head. Sweet roasted chocolate, coffee and fruity aroma, sweet fruity plum-chocolate maple syrup flavors. Nice hoppy burnt bitterness in the finish. Medium-full body with creamy smooth thick and somewhat syrupy mouthfeel, alcohol is very well hidden and very smooth and better than I thought.

This stout was dark brown in color with almost no foam on the surface. The aroma was of heavily roasted malt. The flavor was very intense with bitter chocolate and coffee coming through the roasted barley. There was a very faint hint of maple in the flavor. Very well balanced with a rich, velvety mouthfeel. This stout was quite good and drinkable (but strong!). While not a "traditional" Imperial Stout nor a traditional Oatmeal Stout, this recipe worked for me.
