Served in 16oz tulip. Poured a cloudy red-brown color with 2 inches of rocky, off-white head that had very good, long-lasting retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma had a solid grain base, nice yeast, some yeasty spice notes, a light touch of fruit, and maybe a touch of yeast spice.
Similar on the tongue, with the addition of some stone fruit notes (dark cherry?), and a touch of funk.
The body was medium-full for the style, smooth, and had a medium-dry finish.
Drinkability was very. So good, I did something I rarely do, have 2 in a row. Enjoyed both a lot.
Overall, this beer came across as if a Dubbel and a Saison had a baby. A tasty, tasty baby. A must-try if you see it.
