Quite a dark orangey amber, near brown but clear. Plenty of foam in the small Chimay chalice. Aroma is roasty with hints of orange and a whiff of banana. Grainy taste with caramel, moderately sweet. Plenty of spritz on the tongue and a tangy finish. Even some bitterness in the aftertaste. This is quite malty and good for a glass, but not an Oktoberfest quaff. Surprising bitterness lingers. From the 500 ml bottle with Batch No: 2 hand numbered.

32oz crowler served in a curvy pint glass. Got the crowler yesterday at The Bine.
Pours a clear nutty amber, big fluffy head, substantial carbonation. Smell is bready, nutty, toffee, floral sweetness.
Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Grain and floral sweetness dominate, a bit of honeysuckle. Nutty toffee notes certainly are present. There's a little bit of an earthy/grassy bitterness, but you kind of have to look for it.
Mouthfeel is light, smooth, clean. Overall, this is very nice, though a bit on the sweet side, but tonight that's appealing.
