Appearance: Dark amber to Copper color. Thin off white head with moderate retention.

Aroma: Malty with light fruity esters. Caramel and slight toast.

Flavor & aftertaste: Malty with caramel, light toasted bread and toffee notes. Some herbal/spicy hops. Low bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Semi-sweet with short dry finish. Balanced.

Overall: Nice straight forward drinking beer. Tends to drink a little heavy between the initial sweetness and medium body but does finish rather dry. It's a little outside styles specs for ABV, which you don't notice right away but do mid pint.

Excellent Irish red ale with notes of toffee. Quite close to an Amber ale, but perhaps a bit sweeter, especially upon the first taste. Very easy-drinking and "sessionable."

Appearance: Pours a light, golden-brown body with just under an inch of off-white suds.

Smell: Toasted bread, light grain and a nugget of sweetish toffee adhered to a bit of fruitiness and herbal hops.

Taste: A restrained toffee and toasted combination, minimally sweet. Very low, light fruitiness. Maybe a morsel of chocolate, as it warms a bit. Faint touch of dry herbal hops with just a drop of bitterness felt. Finishes nicely dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A nice level of maltiness and flavor without needlessly straying too far from being a keenly drinkable ale.
