look: 4.25 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5
Appearance: Crystal clear amber with fluffy white head, good retention

Aroma: Sweet malt, light toast. Herbal/spicy hops.

Flavor & Aftertaste: Alcohol is slightly detectable. Malt forward, with bread and toast. Accented with spicy hops. Moderately sweet. Restrained bitterness. Rated this just outside of world class only because the head retention was not as good as German versions I've had. Otherwise, this is definitely Outstanding.

Palate: Medium bodied. Finish in moderate in length and dry. Very clean. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: Excellent Helles Bock ( Maibock). Rich malt forward beer, but not sweet. Has a Vienna Lager-like character with more noticeable alcohol and dryer finish. Looks like it would have some caramel aroma & flavor; but you'll find none.

04/29/2021.

Appearance: Pours a clear, golden-amber body with a medium-small, white head.

Smell: Heady bready barley with a bent of toasted grain along with some spiciness from the hops and a small sniff of alcohol.

Taste: Plentiful pils and barley with toasty touches of grain. A bit of that hop spiciness mingling with some peppery alcohol tones from the canned heat. Slight honeyed element nearing the rich finish housing a bit of heat and light, lasting sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: A solid, likable maibock, relatively easy-drinking for its heft. A Warhammer that even the Imperium and Necrons can agree on.
