(Alfred) Ross Dixon was a Lancaster Flight Sergeant and Navigator. He volunteered to serve, without hesitation, when Canada entered the Second World War on September 10, 1939. Like so many others, Ross and his entire crew were killed in action defending the free world. He was 22 years old.
Ross was posthumously awarded the rank of pilot and was honoured for his sacrifice and bravery with the naming of an island after him - Dixon Island, in the Reindeer Lakes of northern Saskatchewan.
To all the young men and women who sacrificed everything for us, you are remembered.
Mineral-rich water, toasty Alberta malts, classic citrusy hops, and crisp lager yeast come together to create a pale ale-inspired beer with the refined agility of a lager. Naturally carbonated, dry hopped, and gently lagered for six weeks.

Distinctly hazy orange bronze colour with two fingers of puffy white head.
Bright hops on the nose - grapefruit, slightly pithy, citrus - earthy/weedy with pale malts taking a back seat - more prominent grainy malt aroma as warmed.
Hops hit the palate with a bitter burst of grapefruit peel, orange, and an almost peach like sweetness; pale malts underlying.
Solid medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation - a bit of creaminess with citrus hop bitterness hanging on the palate.
