Bottle from the Brewery labeled Kriek Sour Cherry Ale
Pours a deep fairly clear golden color with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of earthy funk. pepper, yeasty esters and a hint of cherry. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Cherry earthy funk with pepper clove and a hint of yeast, Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Easy enough to drink, but this isn't much of a kriek. I would have loved some lactic, and the cherry is awfully faint and lends no color to the finished product.
