Alewife and I stopped into the Brewery today for their annual Imperial Pint Club party.... Opted to snag a shaker pint of this new offering to start the festivities....
Glass held a rich, bright, golden colored brew. It was a bit hazy and had some lazy carbo. Head was off-white and quite thin and fine, mostly clinging to the edges of the glass. Aroma was west-coast citrus, rindy and pithy. Body was medium, and the feel was mostly smooth, with light prickle.
Flavor was almost all hops; had minimal malt evident at all. Was quite pithy, rindy and citrussy, with grapefruit and lemon rind being most noteworthy. Bitterness lasted long and hard in the finish, with any hint of sweetness hard to find. Decent, but a bit too much on the bitter side for me. Prosit!!
