Had a pint of this yesterday (16JUN16) at Hayseed in Hampton....
Enjoyed in a tall, becher-style glass. It was a deep, dark mahogany/chestnut color. Had some tinges of ruby near the edge of the glass. Head was a thin, creamy layer of fine beige foam, with some lacing here and there. Aroma was on the light side, with some caramel and toffee noted. Feel was fairly smooth, with a near-medium body.
Tasted on the malty side, though not overpowering by any means. Had more caramel and toffee, plus some brown-bread action. Hopping was extremely light, and for a 7.1% ABV beer it went down quite easily. Prosit!
