Named after a mythical creature that resembles a seal in the water, but can take on a human form on land, this beer is a full-bodied Scottish red ale brewed with 60lbs of sugar kelp, harvested locally and sustainably with the UNH Aquaculture Program.

Draft at the brewery
Light fizzy head, clear amber auburn color

Nose grainy toasted malt, bread crust, caramel, little earthy note

Taste rich malt, biscuity grainy, toasted bread crust, mild caramel toffee and hint of fruity ester, light earthy salty kelp character, ought to med bitterness and herbal earthy hops

Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, med to lighter carb

Overall not bad, unique
