8/11/18...cloudy bronzed gold with patchy white foam. Soft malty nose. Sharp acidic lemon malt bitter flavor. Mouthfeel burns. Kind of a citrus mish-mash. Good, if not disjointed.

A murky light gold color with a small white head. A tiny bit of lace.
Aroma of floral hops. Some citrus. Sweet malt.
Taste was a little bit of grapefruit and a little more biscuit.
Medium-bodied.

On tap at brewery. Pours pineapple juice corei very hazy with thin head and minimal lacing.

Aroma is very light on the hops. This is not at all in keeping with the NE IPA style they say it is.

Taste is thin because of the lacking hops, so only the light sweet malts come through. They got the malt profile correct but it is like they forgot the dry hopping step.

Mouth feel is tingly and creamy, in keeping with the NE IPA style, so they got that right.

Overall I had big hopes and ended up sorely disappointed. Not sure what else to say.

I had a couple of pints of this today at The Brewery while celebrating my 58th Birthday with my younger daughter, The Scheister...

Served in a shaker pint (normally a 12oz tulip pour for non pint club members) it was a murky, cloudy, muted golden color, and seemed quite sedimentary. Had a short, creamy, fine white head with decent lacing. It was thin but covered for the duration. The nose was subdued and restrained, with a bit of rindy citrus evident. Body was medium, and it was pretty smooth.

Was very light on the sweetness, with just a touch of crackery malt showing up. Had lots of rindy, resiny bitterness, though, with some pineapple and grapefruit. The hopping lasted fairly well in this decent offering. Prosit!

Draught @ Brewpub: this one pours an opaque golden color. There was no head or lacing. Good nose. Pineapple and other tropical notes. The taste is also good. Pineapple and tropical hops, as well as some grassiness. Nice!
