Enjoyed this beer while at Portsmouth. This was their cask offering.
A - Poured into a snifter a hazy copper hue with a super thin white head that faded quickly to leave minimal retention.
S - Alot of the Bottle Rocket is drowned out by Armarillo hops. Lost out on the malty sweetness and floral hops. Its pretty much an armarillo bomb, very one sided.
T - More of the same here. Not very balanced, just like a mouthful of Armarillo. Some very light malt sweetness upfront but for the mostpart its all armarillo, nothing subtle with this.
M - Surprisingly thin on this. I'm used to what casks do to carbonation but this one just comes out feeling flat and watery, alot more than normal.
O - I like most of Portsmouth's offerings but this just didnt do anything for me. Not balanced and far too thin on the mouth. Hope not all their cask offerings are like this.
