Stopped by the Brewery today with Caitlin for some lunch.... We both opted for this to start off with... Got a pint in a standard shaker glass, for $5.75...

This one was a clear, deep copper color, with an extremely thin, wispy off-white head. Lacing was minimal, at best. Aroma was fruity and sweet, with a little a little candi-sugar evident. Body was decent, about medium overall, with just a smidge of prickle present.

Flavor was fruity, with a mix of light fruit, like pear and green apple, and then some raisin, white grape and date. Had candi-sugar here as well, with some floral hoppage in the dry finish. Not bad, overall.... Prosit!!

Poured in a goblet, the beer is a deep, slightly hazed, amber-ruby colored with a quickly receding, yellowish, filmy head that almost disappears as you go. Rich, boozy nose, with old world fruit sweetness and some woody characteristics. Flavors are rich and roasty on the forward tongue, with a tangy backbone blended with raisin, date, and fig sweetness, as well as a rich caramel profile. A hint of funk from Belgian yeast, both fruity and floral. Smooth, light bodied, with a robustness still shining through. Sweet, smooth finish kept light with a touch of carbonation. Very tasty!
