I had it on draft a week ago at the brewery and picked up a bottle to bring back to Boston. 22 oz bottle was poured into a large tulip glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a crazy two finger billowy head that reduced to a thin layer. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank. It is a slightly hazy pale yellow/orange color with good clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.
Smell: Wheaty, bready, sweet, bananas, cloves, and citrus hops.
Taste: Pretty tasty brew. Bready malts, yeasty flavors, and citrus hops all blend well together.
Mouthfeel: Chewy, full bodied, smooth, slightly tingly hops, a little booze, refreshing, and low to medium carbonation.
Overall: Second Double Witbier I have had in the past couple of weeks. Loving this beer a lot and the style. Hopefully they have more of this small batch series beer next time driving through Portsmouth.
