Bought this bottle at Drankcenter Schotte in Kortjik. So local megastore helping local nano. Nice feeling to that.
However, my feeling for Vie is mixed. It is not the standard pleasing Blonde. While it does Looks good with a big head and lace on clear blond bod, it could use a few more protein swirls. (Perhaps mine is an older copy.) Smells are only slightly above the average of this fruity (apple, pear) style. Tastes offer something new, but I'm not sure it's all good: almost a metallic semi-dry finish. Not salivating, but that's also not required by me. Almost medium-mouthed in a light style.
Vie however was a suitable table ale with my world famous veggie stew (but many Belgians are as well.) As for the good Overall Hugs I give to Ruimtegist, they are just busting out of the nano-sphere. They are a local brewery ,but their website shows pretty distribution across Flanders. Ruimtegist also has a strong enough local following to do some crowdfunding, but beware the BrewDog! Anyhow, op wu Gezonheid !
