Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned 06/17/20, code TANK 5.
A: Pours a hazy, copper/amber color with a two to three finger, lemon chiffon color head, generous, half finger retention, and broad bands of complex sticky lacing.
S: Fairly sweet. Fruitiness, especially tangerine, nectarine, and pineapple, with caramel, pine, and a touch of barley grain (at times).
T: Semisweet. Palate follows nose closely with much more caramel and plenty of honey. "Balanced" bitterness for the style.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and easy drinking.
O: Breaking Tide is a very drinkable and enjoyable DIPA. With a solid kick, I am glad the server suggested bringing it home instead of drinking it at the brewery.
