Dark brown nearing black with an unevenly sloped, thin tan head. Before pouring, the bottle's neck fills with airy bubbles, but thankfully doesn't gush.
The nose is pretty classic molasses/treacle with a little caramel and charred gingersnap.
Taste is a little more decadent with some brownie crust and chocolate pie, but also woody tannin. Here in b3 I get less of the butterscotch from b1, and more vanillin this time. Touches of cassia and sandalwood cologne emerge as it warms.
Crisp yet contrastingly nearly viscous.
