Sweet caramel malty, honey/toffee bits, dark fruity, and a sweet bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a thin to medium-bodied, some caramel and toffee upfront...and then a balanced, bourbon barrel boozy finish. As it warms, a touch more barrel comes out, but not in an overwhelming or off putting way. For my palate and preferences, I needed this to be a touch more viscous on the palate and a little sweeter through the swallow to the backend. Pretty good Lyfe!

This is lovely, lots of warming layers at work here. Spiced fig cakes, baked apples, black strap molasses, vanilla, graham cracker, lightly charred caramel, plus more than I can describe. The barrels add plenty smooth bourbon, some prickly oak, and just a little something vinous. I suspect that some non brown liquor barrels are in the mix. The carbonation is very light but body has a nice, lightly sticky silkiness. Wonderful stuff, thank you Christine!
