Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden straw color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a corn and caramel smell mixed with a bit of rice and some grain. Along with these smells comes notes of apple and some light pear.
Taste – The taste begins with a semi-sweet corn and caramel flavor paired with a bit of cracker and bread malt. The taste is light upfront and remains so throughout. There is a little bit of rice and some pear that work their way into the flavor profile, with the mix of flavors leaving one with a rather crisp and lightly sweetened lager taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is rather light and on the thinner side with a moderate carbonation level. The light body was great, but a tad higher carbonation would have made it a more sessionable sipper.
Overall – A pretty decent lager overall with a slightly sweeter flavor profile, but with a great drinkability.
