the best beer so far from this awesome new spot. its only lightly hazy, has a ton of flavor, and has been recently being served with a fresh cascade hop cone floating on the shaving cream thick white head, a gorgeous presentation. a light orange tone to this, not malty looking, but not pale straw yellow either, great head retention and complex web lacing on the edges of the glass as i drink it. huge fresh aroma, spicy and piney hops, without greenness or bitterness it seems, some bright lemony citrus here too, really clean on the ferment, this is well done. the flavor is great here, just enough from the grain for it to be balanced, but fully hop driven, tempered bitterness though, and a lot of oily freshness from the hops in the texture. its slick and medium bodied, but dry and drinkable, and wonderful with their spicy chicken wings (all the food here is the bomb!). i get a little lingering herbal even peppery hop bite, subtle guava or papaya all of a sudden late too, and a really nice coming together of all the elements. for all the countless times ive went to a brand new brewery, ordered a pint of ipa, and said to myself, whats the point here, why open yet another new brewery just to make the same old beer at mediocre quality, which is an experience ive had a lot, this place totally wowed me with their initial hoppy offering, the recipe and the execution are on point. i have very high hopes for spring creek moving forward now!
