a mellow and mild english ale here, perhaps a first batch on their system based on the name, simple, malty, good but not great, pales in comparison to their exceptional ipa, but still a solid offering here, easy drinking and nice with their wood fired pizza in here, which is killer by the way. a light rusty orange color to this, not quite clear, and with a lathery white head on top. smells and tastes like fresh crystal malt, a relaxed bready english ale yeast, and a gentle bittering hop at the end, not a whole lot going on, just a glass of beer, but there is balance in it, decent refinement for these guys being so brand new, and a high drinkability, even if this isnt something i necessarily want to make an afternoon of. i think its increasingly important to have something approachable and low alcohol on the menu, and this will do just fine for that purpose, preferable to a generic blonde or something, and props for having multiple yeasts in house already (at least i assume thats the case). good carbonation, some body for how minimal the alcohol is, and just short of crisp to finish. decent fall session brew, but their ipa is the pick up there right now!
