Taster at brewery. Medium gold pour with a persistent creamy head. Aroma doesn't give too much away, light hoppiness. Taste comes in with carel malts which are quickly subsumed by floral, grassy hop notes . Smooth, hoppy, light lingering bitterness.

it another really good hop forward beer from these guys, and while i have not had a ton of their stuff, its these that have been their best. this is mostly clear, bold and flavorful, high on the ibu count, and balanced just enough by the grain, which is never sweet but has a light bready note to it and quite a lot of body, all of this supports the strong alcohol well, and this drinks a little too easy, especially next to their spicy chicken wings, which are some of the best i have had in the area, a perfect combination. the hop profile is familiar, a grapefruity columbus sort of thing to it, some pine, a resinous northwestern vibe in taste and in mouthfeel, not overly complex but it doesnt need to be. there is an awesome freshness to this, a bracing bitterness that hits kind of early, but a clean finish both in the sense that there is no hop burn and that the ferment is tidy, professional. bold but good, west coasty to me, like something stone would have done in their prime, which is definitely a compliment to a small and brand new place like this. i love the name, not sure i am inspired to euphoric levels by this, but its darn good ipa.
