473 mL can from the LCBO; coded Jan 28 2021 and served slightly chilled.
Pours medium golden with a faintly pinkish-amber hue, generating less than a finger of loose, bubbly white head that fizzles itself out of existence within sixty seconds. The surface is left mostly barren, with only a sickly thin collar to speak of - looks like a typical kettle sour to me. It smells lightly of lactic acidity, lemon, blackberry yogurt and grains, with subtle suggestions of vanilla and raspberry - it's a fairly enticing aroma.
As far as sours go, I'd call this an approachable one, as it's got enough sweetness to help balance out the acidity. Blackberry and raspberry tartness at the forefront, with sour lemon and lactic acidity also coming through, as well as a fair bit of lactose sugar sweetness - particularly towards the back end. The vanilla, on the other hand, is barely noticeable, which is fine by me. Finishes sweet and a little tart, like raspberry yogurt, which carries on briefly into the aftertaste before fading. Light-medium in body, with assertive carbonation that contributes to its crisp, slightly frothy feel on the tongue; feels velvety smooth in the mouth, with very good drinkability. It's kinda refreshing, but I wouldn't say it's something I could drink one after another.
Final Grade: 3.65, a B grade. I don't have particularly strong feelings about Lee River Blackberry Vanilla, one way or the other. Its berry flavours are palatable enough, but it's a little too sweet for me, coming together sort of like a raspberry smoothie. The vanilla is also a minor factor at best, which might disappoint some folks. It was nice to drink once, and I'll be back for more at some point... but 'fruit sours' are in increasingly ample supply these days, and this one places in the middle of the pack, at best. Give it a try if it sounds interesting.

Look: Medium opaque yellow, with hints to brown. Fluffly one finger white head that dissipates to leave strong lacing after 5 minutes.

Feel: Medium body, and full of carbonation. Lip puckering tart and sour throughout with an even stronger sour aftertaste.
This beer is a fruit sout with Blackberry and Vanilla. For fans of sour beers this is worth a look. I'm not a fan of the style in general though. I'd pass on this in the future. B-
