Pours a slightly hazy dark gold colour with a large fluffy head. Not too much in the smell dept. the taste is corny and grainy yet a touch of lime peel far off in the background. This is far from a fruit beer, but enough of a tartness to be a very nice summer backyard beer

355 mL can from the LCBO; coded Jan 20 2022 and served barely chilled.
Pours a lightly fogged golden-amber colour, with nearly a finger of lumpy, foamy white head gathering atop. It fizzles off within ninety seconds or so, replaced with a creamy collar and thin, filmy cap; there's an attractive curtain of lacing left behind, too. Light lime zestiness on the nose, overlapped with bready malts and gritty graininess.
I mean, it tastes fine, but Vienna lager is hardly the first thing that comes to mind. Bready pale malts, hints of caramelized sugars, and then lime zest through to the finish. Light in body, with zippy carbonation that prickles the tongue with gusto, bestowing a crisp, almost frothy texture upon this lager. Easy to drink, potentially en masse, i.e. I think I could drink six of these over the course of a night, and I doubt it'd become tiresome.
Final Grade: 3.54, a serviceable B. Rocky Point Lime Lager is one of those cases where 'grading to style' is difficult - the lime steers the flavour profile off in a direction that never really comes close to approximating a Vienna lager. But truthfully, I like lime-flavoured stuff, so I don't really mind this lager - I'd certainly rather drink this than a Bud Light Lime, and on a hot July afternoon I think I'd take it over most 'craft lagers'. Worth a look, especially for lime lager enthusiasts.
