355 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for around $3.50 CDN. Canned some time in December 2022.
Appearance - Hazy pale starw brew that pours a finger and a half of rocky white head. Good renetion and a nice swath of lacing clings to glass.
Smell - Somewhat dank with orange up front and a trace of blueberries in the backend. Mixed tropical fruit is there too. Pretty good intensity of aromatics.
Taste - There's a creamy and wheaty nothingness before some orange and orange pith kicks in. Slightly herbal taste to the brew. Some berries in the background but the orange pith is the start. A touch of astringent hop oils to close.
Mouthfeel - Creamy texture, sort of juicy finish. Body is middling and lighter than you'd otherwise suspect.
Overall - Good but not outstanding local IPA, worth a try if you can find it. The dankness is a bit unusual for a NEIPA, but works well in conjunction with the orange here.

355 mL can from the LCBO; no packaging date. Served barely chilled.
Pours a cloudy pale golden-yellow colour, topped with one finger of smooth, foamy white head that recedes within two or three minutes. Messy strands of lace are flung about the glass in the process, with a sudsy collar and thin cap staying in place - looks fine to me. The aroma is mild, but orange and dank weed are easy enough to discern; delving a little deeper reveals hints of tropical fruit, berries, bubble gum and grassy, floral hops.
A mellow, fruity IPA that I found effortlessly easy to slug back - I know there's no date on the can, but I'd wager it's very fresh indeed. I'm getting orange and passion fruit, with hints of strawberry, bubble gum, mango and papaya. Notes of floral, dank hop bitterness at the finish, with citrus and tropical fruit lingering into the aftertaste. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, with low carbonation that gently rolls across the tongue, resulting in a silky smooth mouthfeel that I found quite pleasing. 355 mL almost seems like a tease!
Final Grade: 3.92, a B+. Hazy Maitland IPA is easily the best Something in the Water brew I've tried thus far, matching up very well against the 'average' Ontario hazy IPA of my experiences. Brewed with Mosaic, Strata and Bergamot hops - the latter being a strain I am not at all familiar with (though as an earl grey tea fan, I guess it's not surprising that I was digging it). Honestly, my biggest complaint about this beer is the puny format: just when I really started getting into this beer, the glass was basically empty. Worth a shot, and I'll be back for more.
