Collaboration with Revolution Brewing Company
Double Dry-Hopped with Enigma & HBC 630 after fermenting with Brett Lambicus, resulting in a cacophony of red fruits akin to raspberry, red currant, and cherry pie funk with a hint of cream.

Hazy muddy orange with two fingers of foam and chunky lacing. Aromas of raspberry, pine, juniper, fairly hop forward as a Brett IPA should be. Bitter with a resiny green hop taste, slight diacetyl butteriness. Pine and dried fruit, dry resiny finish. Medium bodied, carb gives it a light feel. Some astringency, seltzery feel, vague raspberry. Overall it’s ok, but not the best from them.

tallboy can poured into Durobar Charente glass with white HF logo.
Appearance: Opaque Golden bodied beer with bone white soapy head that stacks up tall from a hard pour. Good staying power from the head; it last a really long time, but eventually drops down to no head at all near the end of the drink. Uneven & scattered lacing on the glass.
Smell: Tropical hops leaning towards the pineapple side of things. Earthy Brett. Mild dankness. Fruity notes fade in and out.
Taste: Juicy tropical pineapple hop notes to start things off. Then dry oak. Very earthy Brett notes and dusty cobweb funk in the middle. Vinous red wine notes and berries in the finish. Finishes with moderate amount of bitterness in the form of lime zest. Lightly dank. Bold and contrasting flavors that work really well together. Very complex and very dynamic flavor changes happening throughout drinking this beer.
Mouthfeel: Light body. Moderate carbonation. Soft, but dry body. Really clean finish. Incredibly drinkable.
Overall: Another reminder of how much I like a really well done brett IPA. The strong parts of this beer are the complex flavors and the perfectly matched texture. Great collaboration beer between Revolution and Odious. First beer from Odious cellars and I want more of this type of beers and not many Chicagoland breweries are making beers like this!
