a nicely refined and hoppy pils here, italian style, which has fully become a thing and probably deserves its own style category here on BA at this point. i had high hopes for this, with so many outlandish and incomparable beers on their menu in here, its important that they do something a little cleaner and simple extremely well, it lends credibility to their off the wall recipes, and so i am glad this is as good as it is, fully professional, distinct, snappy, and infinitely drinkable, i wish i had one in front of me right this second. its clear, radiant golden, holds a little head from the tap, and is packed with carbonation. it smells and tastes bright and clean, fresh, european on the yeast, both citrusy and herbal on the hops, maybe saaz leading the way on the noble side, or something like it, but also a more modern pop at the end too, good bitterness, pleasant with the crackery grain thats there all the way too, minerals evident, clean finish, flavorful for a yellow lager, i can taste all the elements, its hoppy but not overdone at all, and really sings on the palate, light and dry and fizzy and refreshing, a fine compliment to their equally unique pizza in here. i cannot recommend this place highly enough, i cant wait to go back. they needed to have this pils on their menu, and it needed to be excellent. they nailed it!
