14x Dry Hopped Quadruple Hazy IPA
Quattuordecuple, fourteen offerings. We offered ourselves to the omnipotent lupulin deities as best as we could with fourteen different additions of El Dorado, Citra, Strata and Mosaic. Why did we do it? Somebody must appease the deities. Our biggest and probably craziest beer to date. The most hops, the most malt, the most love we have ever shown a beer. It was swaddled from start to finish....and it shows.

Poured from 16oz can into my Bell’s tulip. No date on the can that I could see.

Appearance: darkish gold hue with plenty of haze and two fingers of frothy ivory foam atop.

Smell: quite sweet with some good fruity aromas of tropical passionfruit and a bit of zesty grapefruit. It’s pretty juicy — I’m into it.

Taste: like the aroma, sweet ‘n’ juicy, with plenty of tropical fruit and a bit of citrus. It’s quite good, although the sweetness is a bit much for me — but what do you expect from a 12% imperial?

Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and a good creaminess. Honestly kind of surprised it’s not creamier, what with all its hugeness.

Overall: a really tasty beer, but the sweetness is just, like, a LOT.

Pours a very cloudy dark golden color with a small foamy head. Head retention is very mild. Lacing is virtually non-existent. It seems like the carbonation is off on this can. Citrus with a candied aroma. Deep citrus taste. Dank and somewhat piney at the end. Full-bodied with mild carbonation.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy orange golden, silky white head, solid lacing. Aroma is smoky, dank, ripe fruit. Taste is hoppy, green, smoky, a lot going on. Thick, creamy, lush. Latent warmth seeps in. Enjoying this more and more the deeper it goes.

Translucent, tangerine orange body; thin, patchy, sudsy head. Citrus rind aroma; a bit of orange, very faint. Slightly resinous, citrus-like taste; strong bitterness; huge phenol presence. Heavy body; prickly; acidic; semi-dry with a bit of a juicy element to the mouthfeel.

Despite the marketing hype, I don't get any bold, innovative dry-hopped pizzazz, and the malt-base seems a bit thin for the amount they supposedly used. Drinkable yet unremarkable.

Pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning data: BECAUSE WHY NOT? CANNED ON 02/01/2022

Murky dark yellow appearance complete with a white head. Apparently this is where we are in craft beer now, 14 times dry hopped in a quad ipa, just insane. And yet I don't hate it, so often triple ipas become overly resinous but here it just becomes overly fruity in a good way. Tons of tropical fruit and citrus, hops finish in dry and soft way with appropriate resin. Nose pulls off the dynamic better than taste but both great. Feel is where I am stunned though, no hint of the 12.3% abv, not super resinous, juicy yet soft, very bright and not overly heavy. I'm impressed. While this will probably be slammed by jumping the shark by the purists (love y'all) I found this to be fun in a ridiculous and fruity way
