British style oatmeal stout brewed with high color malt and a variety of dark and specialty malts rounded out by a hefty dose of flaked oats. Pours a rich aphotic black with excellent lacing.

It's fine but I really just feel like it was almost felt. Some stouts can be like that, but it was just like someone took a good stop and let the air out of it.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to patches with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, baker's chocolate, Postum and a touch of caramel. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate char, baker's chocolate and some drip coffee in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A nice, charry oatmeal stout with good chocolate and coffee character. Although I'd like a little more mouth feel from an oatmeal stout, this one is more creamy than any of the last few I've tried; the improvement of the body by the oatmeal is welcome. Great evocative name and a solid oatmeal stout.
