Maple orange with a finger of white head. Smells like syrup. Tastes like maple and aunt Jemima only dryer. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Got in Stratford, drinking July 27, 2023.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 23 2020 and served barely chilled.
Pours a clear golden-yellow colour, producing more than an inch of puffy, soapy white head that recedes steadily. Within several minutes, it has been reduced to a thin, creamy collar and cap; a spotty curtain of lacing is also splattered about in its wake. Maple sugar is the dominant facet of the aroma, with hints of bready malts and graininess also coming through - not much depth to speak of here, but at least it delivers what it advertised, and in a relatively appealing fashion.
A little sugary at the forefront, with grainy pale malts and maple sweetness leading the way for much of the sip. Hints of bready malts, grassy hay and maple cookies towards the finish, with the maple flavouring lingering on into a moderately sweet aftertaste. Light-ish in body, with bracingly firm carbonation that prickles the palate aggressively, frothing up somewhat in the mouth; it's crisp, but not particularly refreshing, and not what I'd consider a good session option.
Final Grade: 3.53, a B grade. Brew Windsor's Maple Beer starts off with very strong visuals and an enticing (albeit simple) nose, but that doesn't really carry over into the flavour profile. It's rather one-dimensional overall, and also kinda overcarbonated, which hurts both its mouthfeel and drinkability. Finally, their website claims that there's ginger in this - but if that's the case, they didn't use enough ginger because I didn't notice it at all. Bitching aside, it's not the worst maple beer I've ever had, but there's plenty of room for improvement - it's serviceable if you're considering it as a gimmick product, and possibly worth trying at least once... but it's not the sort of brew I'd seek out again, or eagerly recommend to others.

473 ml can served cold into a chalice. Canned October 23, 2020. LCBO purchase for $3.95 CDN.
Appearance - Clear, pale copper colored brew topped with many fingers of light frothy head with excellent staying power. Lots of bubbles and an absolute curtain of lacing down the sides of the glass.
Smell - General grainy notes capped with an overwhelming sense of maple, reminds me of the Dare brand of maple cookies (shaped as a maple leaf). Aroma fades a bit upon repeated whiffs.
Taste - Somewhat sweet, definitely maple inspired, some general corn sweetness in there too. The maple seems overblown, yet it still tastes decent enough. Not too sweet although no maple stickiness on the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-light bodied, very expressive carbonation and a touch gassy, but works. Finish is pretty wet and makes it easy to knock back.
Overall - Not a beer I'd like to drink more than two of a session, but the maple is pretty well done, flavorful and sufficiently intense without being too sweet, there's a bit of lack of depth of flavor beyond that (just typical blonde ale fare), but I liked this more than I thought I would so kudos to this new brewery for making a tasty maple ale.
