By Odin’s Beard is the next in our Kviek “lager” exploration. We started with Pilsner and Vienna malt and then added the playful Callista hops. Fermented at 90F but tastes like it was much colder, this low ABV crusher is brimming with flavors of bread, cracker, peach and passionfruit. Cheers!

Light honey amber body; thin yet lasting head; light rings of foam circle the glass with lazy fingers of suds crawling downward. Dull, earthy aroma. Initial taste of sweet berries then malty, oaken note; mild bitterness cutting through a light caramel flavor; yeasty and somewhat bread-like. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; semi-dry quality.

This beer brings an interesting quality to the lager table. It has an old-world sort of charm to it, rich and chewy with malty flavors and hardwood undertones.

Poured at 54 F; packaging date info seen.
