Thanks to FBarber for this one. Canned 1/26/22 "YOU NEED"
Brewer's Notes:Brewed and dry-hopped with Bravo, Lotus, and Trident (BLT)
Pours an elegant amber-copper hue. Fluffy, slightly off-white head rises a finger or so in height, recedes slowly to a milky cap. Scattered layers of lacing.
Nose is malt forward initially. Buckwheat, graham cracker, avocado honey, pine resin, very mild orange and pepper. Reminds me of early Knuckle Sandwich batches that made me question wether it was some kind of double/triple IPA or a mellow American barleywine.
Flavor starts off with more of a balance between the sweet and bitter. Wow, I like this. The malts carry a little more heft in the caramel direction rather than the honey I picked up in the nose. But again theres orange, slightly dank pine resin, and mild pepper. Hints of gristy grain as well.
mouthfeel has a nice heft, mild carbonation, and a smooth, bitter finish.
Overall, loving this one.

Surprisingly dark (but crystal clear) body, quite coppery. Nearly perfectly clear and transparent. Good head production, retention, and lacing.
Resin, pine, toast, and caramel on the nose. Almost more of a strong ale than a traditional IIPA, but not at all unpleasant.
Quite malty on the palate, as well. Really tasty, with notes of caramel, pine, and orange. Strong bitterness.
This is a very tasty beer, more on par with a very hoppy strong ale, the kind I'd expect from Lagunitas or Stone, and similar to Nugget Nectar in a way. The hop varietals are an interesting mix.

Canned 1/26/22; drank 2/21/22 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy dull orange/red rust appearance.
An even pour yielded a nice eggshell head; strong, frothy lace.
Strawberry, cane sugar & faint baking soda notes in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Strawberry & baking soda flavors; abrasive & not very enjoyable.
Art History usually doesn't miss like this; I'll avoid this one in the future.
