Dr. Brewlittle's Beer Co. "Wash"
16 fl. oz. can
$4.25 at the brewery on 8/22/21
"We are honored to present to you Wash, a beer made by Autodidact Beer, the winners of round one of Shoreside Brewing's Homebrew competition. We invited them out to make this Grissette with us on our system. This style is both funky and delicate, with a nice note of fruit on the nose and palette and a slight hop-driven and herbal finish."
Look: Hazy light straw gold beneath a full head of fluffy bright white foam that holds well.
Smell: Softly sweet grainy malt combines with mild notes of herbs, flowers, and orchard fruits.
Taste: Gently sweet and grainy as expected, with more fruit than the aroma suggests, and a hint of bubblegum (clove) and peppery spiciness from the the yeast. Moderately bitter but still dry in the finish with a swirl of earthiness and pepper lingering.
Feel: Light-medium in body and gently crisp.
Overall: Refreshing, full of flavor, and surprisingly complex. Nicely done.
