A-Golden yellow with a bubbly white head that lingers
S-Funky aroma with layers of pure citra that lead to some less fruity more musky character
M-Medium to light body with high end carbonation
T-Citra forward flavour transported in a light Belgium ale that skews flavours in a more herbal and earthy dimension. The tropical fruit flavours are ripe and sharp.
O-This is a nice smash beer that highlights citra, not sure about classifying it a saison, but there are traits...

Cap Citra
Serving: Can
Canned: Oct-2-2019 (Consumed Oct-21)
A:
Pours cloudy golden orange with a skiff of soda head that drops to a spit-like ring. Little retention; no lacing. (3)
S:
Orange, touch of spice, vanilla-y sweetness. (3.75)
T:
Medium-plus phenols, citrus rind, some yeasty bready body to it, lingering medicinal/hop burn bite. (3.5)
M:
Dry, fairly thin, fizzy carbonation, a little astringent, yeasty body and finish. (3.5)
O:
Meh.
This one starts promising but is not terribly enjoyable and in some ways is kinda just a mess. It is not very good looking to begin with. No head or retention, pretty cloudy. The aroma has a nice little brightness but the rest of it and the flavor are dominated by booziness, phenolics, yeast and medicinal hop character. It is definitely not undrinkable, but it is not super enjoyable either. Perhaps they just pushed it out too early. I gave it time due to style and ABV to try to combat this a little, but it is just too rough for a saison (so says I). They kind of put themselves in a no-win situation, though, since they want to get this beer out while the hops are poppin' but also give it time for the saisoniness to mellow. This does not quite achieve on either front (the hop profile or the saison profile). Ok but nothing more. Lots of promise, though. (3)

Review from memory of earlier today
A: Looks like your typical IPA. Slightly hazy pale yellow color with a pure white creamy head with decent retention and lacing.
S: Smell is pretty light overall for a beer of the genre. You get pineapple, mangoes and light oranges. Some light floral notes are there too. A little bit of malt sweetness. Nice but light smelling.
T: Goes along with the smell. You get some nice floral notes (stronger than the smell), orange peel, ripe pineapple and mangoes. Just like the smell, the taste is pretty light for the style and the ABV. It's pretty dry and maybe even a little peppery, but this is much more like an IPA than a Saison.
M: Mouthfeel is medium without any stickiness. Carbonation is pretty creamy overall, really good for the genre. Feels like a nice dry IPA.
O: This is a good beer. They tried to do a beer that was an "American Saison". The result is to me a little bit more dry IPA with a little pepper. I didn't read the label at first and I was sure it was a NEIPA as the saison elements are almost nonexistent. It's good, but it doesn't have the characteristics of either a great saison or a great NEIPA.

Can: Poured a clear bright yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt notes with loads of Citra hops notes with some nice floral undertones notes. Taste is also a mix of sweet Belgian style malt with some citrus hoppy undertones and loads of floral undertones. Body is full with good level of carbonation. Enjoyable thought base saison beer is kind of hard to distinguish form the heavy hops presence.
