Brewed with German Pilsner, flaked wheat, German Vienna malts. Fermented with our French farmhouse yeast. The traditional ingredients of sweet orange peel, whole Coriander, Grains Of Paradise, with a small dose of fresh Strawberries. Dry-hopped with Segal Ranch Hops. Has notes of an earthy, floral, bright flavor with splashes of berries.

A: The beer is essentially clear pale golden yellow in color and has a faint amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of earthly and herbal hops are present in the nose along with hints of strawberries.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional hints of grains of paradise.
M: It feels a bit shy of being medium-bodied on the palate and has a low amount of carbonation.
O: This saison is very unique, particularly with the hints of strawberries in the smell.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Willi Becher glass; no production information, but Batch #22720.
A: Pours a hazy, dark golden approaching amber color with a solid, foamy, three finger, white head. At two minutes, it still had a half finger of head retention and thick, sticky, complex lacing.
S: Aroma very consistent with the style including lemon, coriander, rosemary, and grain (barley). I did not pick up the strawberry.
T: More semisweet than semidry, I think. Pleasant tastes of lemon, coriander and rosemary, as well as a light dusting of white pepper. Maybe a strawberry note at times. Solid, peppery bitterness, leaves a nice tingling sensation on the palate.
M: Light to medium bodied, impressively persistent effervescence.
O: Complex, subtle, and very balanced. My basic, Francophilic sensibilities would be offended, but for two things: A Gallic sense of humor and the fact that this beer is really, exceptionally good. Nice execution of the style. FYI, alcohol not at all in evidence until it kicks you in the head like un mulet.
