For 4.8% I’d call this more of a session ale than an APA, but it pack almost if not just as much of a punch as a DIPA. Smooth, tasty, malty, not much of a hope bite, nice head and thick mouth feel, and nicely tropical taste. Just a very well rounded low ABV beer that you can drink a few of and not have to worry about driving home…!

Copenhagen 18/6 2025. 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. V. Steel can with a white label in Beak's usual style. A lot of people chit-chatting around a huge blue bottle.
Pours opaque hazy yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as an uneven, lumpy ayer of for stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruits mingling with zesty cries fruit. Sweet peach and pineapple. Grapefruit and lime. Tart and a bit acerbic.
Light carbonation, Slightly thick, oily, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. A little searing, Finish is bone dry.
Tart - yet well-balanced.

Refreshing. This seems largely achieved by an active yeast that works the malts and aromatic hops that stimulate my sinuses enough to get to my taste buds. Balanced by moderate bitterness, mostly piney.. Light to medium-mouthed. Sessionable as designed
My first from Beak, my micro-review is they are an impressive 4 year old with great graphics, but will benefit from a bit more focus. They offer hop-forward ales and imperial stouts (hardly a niche in the English-speaking world); but then they also sell cider and sours they like from other brewers (which is healthy to do collaborations, but they rarely are profitable.) So I wish them well and wish them focus.
